Swan Districts product Grainger-Barras has long been a highly-touted prospect, and made his WAFL League debut last year after two impressive performances at the Under 18 National Championships for Western Australia. While his style of play is somewhat that of a defender’s defender, the 195cm backman is incredibly athletic for his size and possesses a sound intercept marking game. Poised to challenge for top five draft pick honours this year, Grainger-Barras burst onto the scene with a terrific Under 16 carnival in 2018, but had his run of achievements cut slightly short last year as a long-term shoulder injury kept him out of action until the 2020 pre-season. Having gotten back into the swing of things, the 18-year-old has cemented his place at League level and looks every bit a high-end prospect.
