SUMMARY: Nick Murray is the younger brother of Collingwood speedster, Sam though the brothers could not be more different. Nick is a contested marking machine who is strong playing as a key position defender. He does not have his older brother's blistering pace or agility, and his endurance is also below average. But he is stronger one-on-one, positions himself well behind the ball and intercepts plenty of opposition forward drives. Murray is a player who clubs look at late as a developing key position defender, with GWS GIANTS having seen him grow through their Academy. He played in the Academy Series and showed some solid signs, and when returning to the Bushrangers, impressed in transition out of the back half.
