STRENGTHS: Acceleration, agility, endurance, skills, rebounding
IMPROVEMENTS: Inside game, tackling
SUMMARY: Guy Richardson provided some good rebound and outside run for the Allies in the National Under 18 Championships, and has a number of enticing traits for clubs to keep in mind on their draft boards. Tied to the GIANTS through their Academy, Richardson is one of the best athletes across the board, clocking up 2.93 seconds in the 20m sprint, 8.24 seconds in the agility test and 21.1 in the Yo-yo test. Along with his athletic strengths, Richardson also has nice skills and is a consistent rebounder, averaging three per game in his two matches at the championships. The next stage of improvement for Richardson are his inside game, including tackling – he did not register a tackle at the championships and only registered more than three tackles in the NEAFL once in his seven games. These areas are just tweaks to a game that has plenty to like on the outside, and would just provide a better balance when going on the inside as well.
