STRENGTHS: Inside nous, determination/courage, character/professionalism, contested marking ability
IMPROVEMENTS: Kicking efficiency, pace, durability
SUMMARY: The Gippsland Power big bodied midfielder and forward was given an opportunity to return as a 19 year old this season after a frustrating top age year with injuries. He finally got some continuity on the field and the chance to spend longer periods through the midfield to showcase his inside strengths. He is a lovely size at 188cm and possesses an AFL frame to fill out, which is one of the reasons why AFL clubs are still monitoring his progress. He is clean inside the contest, difficult to move off the ball and physical defensively. His professionalism and character are lauded around the club, often going the extra mile to get the most out of himself and setting standards for others. He is outstanding over head, having played long minutes as a target inside 50 and always competes admirably aerially. While he isn’t blessed with great natural pace and needs to work on his kicking consistency, he is the type of player who could flourish if given the opportunity in an AFL environment.
