TWO top three sides searching for a fifth win will lock horns tonight at Pentanet Stadium. West Perth and East Fremantle have only lost to Claremont thus far in season 2024, but the winner will go outright second, while the loser drops back to the chasing pack in third.

DESPITE the trio of AFLW Academy members missing and another couple still out with injury, there were plenty of West Australian State Academy members taking to the field for Round 6 in the WAFL Women’s competition. HALFWAY through the weekend and halfway through Round 6 of the WAFL Women’s with two games remaining to complete the round. East Fremantle will be hoping to further hold onto a top three spot with a big win over a struggling Peel Thunder, while it is neck-and-neck between Swan Districts and Subiaco.

ANOTHER standalone match takes place in the WAFL Women’s with the 1-3 South Fremantle taking on the 0-4 East Perth. The former should be too strong, but the Royals are improving, adding up to an interesting Saturday contest.

AFTER a week off to refresh, the WAFL Women’s players return to action in an extended early start to Round 6. It all kicks off tomorrow night at Pentanet Stadium between the top two sides in West Perth and Claremont, before the following three games are played over the following two days.
