Stat leaders: 2021 VFL Women’s – Round 13

THE Victorian Football League (VFL) Women’s competition wrapped up its 13th round of the action over the weekend, with players returning to the field after nearly a month away. A bunch of state league and senior-listed guns picked up right where they left off, dominating the stats sheet to feature in this week’s Stat Leaders.

North Melbourne’s Megan Kiely took out the top spot for disposals this round with an impressive 34, extending her lead atop said category overall. Kiely also scored the most kicks in Round 13 with 23 – another chart she currently tops for the season. Airlie Runnalls also represented North Melbourne on the leaderboard this weekend for the most handballs, collecting 21.

Collingwood’s Imogen Barnett took out the top spot for most goals (three), as one of eight individual goalkickers in the Magpies’ big win over Western Bulldogs. Meanwhile, another Roo in Reni Hicks dominated on the field with 16 tackles, and teammate Bethany Lynch clunked a round-high nine marks. Rounding out the top spot for the most hit-outs this week is Simone Nalder from Essendon, with 39.
