WITH the grand final on Sunday both teams have made some last minute changes in hope to secure the highly coveted premiership. The Adelaide Crows will be vying for their second, while the Blues will be hoping to claim their first in AFWL history.
Naming an extended squad, the likes of Nikki Gore and Sally Riley have been added to the Crows line-up, while Carlton has named Natalie Plane and Reni Hicks to take on Adelaide in their first grand final appearance.
After securing the wooden spoon last year the Blues have come along in leaps and bounds with the likes of Tayla Harris and Darcy Vescio working wonders in the forward line thanks to their strong leads and ability to hit the scoreboard.
Adelaide co-captain Chelsea Randall has had a huge influence down back while superstar Erin Phillips has proven her worth with her timely touches and clever kicks.
